here are questions we ask;
1. What music genre do you most prefer?
2. Do you prefer male or female artist?
3. How do you think women are being represented in music videos when the genre is Rap/Hip-Hop?
4. Is there a song that you liked but once you saw the video you no longer like the song?
5. Do you prefer a narrative or surreal when watching a music video?
6. Do you like music videos that jumps from the narrative/ surreal to the artist singing?
7. Do you think fashion is important in a music video?
8. How do you think reality is being represented in music videos?
9. Do you prefer solo artist or groups?
10. who is your favourite artist?
By the answered we received when asking the questionnaire we came to find that many of our friends know how women are being represented but that could be because we only asked women, to extend our research we would need to ask some males to get their perspective. We also received similar answers for how reality is being represented in music videos. Overall we can say that women are being represent as in degrading ways because they are being show as object either by how they dress or what they are doing in the videos. We are being told that many music videos do not have a sense of reality at all not only because of the effects that has been done by editors but also so because of some of the story lines that the music producer want the audience to think and feel.
