We have been researching Digipaks and we found out that most digipaks are made in a similar ways for example out of paper board or card, they are also use for efficient purposes for example digipak are far less likely to break or crack like a jewel case would. What an album digipak contains is a number of information and images.
There are many different ways a digipak can fold out....
This is a two panel digipak and it open just like a book would as you can the front panel has the artist name and the album name the inside has a bit of information and the CD the back has the songs along with the numbers. As you can see the CD has current them and a continuos house style.
This is a 3 panel digipak what this normally contains is the same on the front and back which would be artist, album and on the back the song, but inside has the CD, the booklet with the information. the difference between the 2 panel digipak and the 3 panel digipak is that the third panel normally would be a dvd that contains the music video or another booklet with more information.
A 4 panel digipak has what a 3 panel digipak has but it will contain both the two booklets and the CD along with the dvd of the music videos.
Front Cover - Normally has; an image not necessarily of the artist, it also has the artist name and the name of the album some might even have the parent explicit logo on the front although sometimes they are located on the back.
Inside- 2 panel - CD, booklet and images
- 3 panel - CD, booklet, DVD or another booklet and images
- 4 panel - CD, booklet, DVD, another booklet and images
Back Cover - parent explicit logo, numbers given with a name of the song, maybe with another image
What a booklet would normally contain would be;
- lyrics to the songs
- information about the record label
- information about the songs
- more images
