Digipak Analysis

These are digipak adverts from the Internet and I have just analysis a few of the adverts to show the type of techniques that have been used and what the adverts have in similarities to one another. By looking at the different adverts you can see that there is a artist name album or single name, when the CD is going to be released and a image of either the artist or a image of the album cover.

"Lana Del Rey" is the name of the artist or band and "Born to Die" and below has a release date. the image may be the album cover but it may also just be a image from within the music video. The colours of the image could suggest that the album or the genre of the music that the album contains will soft melody such as the same effect that the colours have.

This advert is promoting "Katy Perry"and we can tell that it is for her single "I Kissed A Girl" which was released 22 september. This advert give of the impression that her song as surreal as her advert

All of these adverts have the same textual information but with different styles this specific one has an image that help represent the theme/genre of her song, it also contains the name of the artist, release date and the title of the album.

For our digipak we will follow the same textual concept and include our artist name, the title our our single and the date the single will be released along with an image of either the actual album cover itself or a shot from the music video which will fit in relation with the song as well.

Montage Ins

Diary Entry - Bathroom - Part 1

7th of January - School site -Sixth form bathroom

Because we want to film the mother after days of training we also then ad the idea of contrasting the mothers day with the daughter and have them both cleaning of in the bathroom. This meant that we had too find a bathroom that didn't look as nice as my bathroom at home or Aalisha's bathroom which is when we thought to choose a bathroom at school because it had more of that simplistic aspect. Once at the school bathroom Evelyn changed into the costume and I pulled down any school poster whilst Aalisha prepared the camera and the tripod.

We had thought of the different shot that we wanted because we want the same shot as we would have when filming the little girl to contrast the mother and daughter facial features. So we first tried many angle but we had mostly close ups for example one shot we though was god was the shot of her reflection in the mirror because the audience would be able to see the protagonist but the not the camera which is something we didn't think of planing but though it would be good because when the mother bends down to wash her face we could have the child in the same position. Another shot we chose was one in line with the sink giving the audience a view of the hand. The main part of the scene where the mother is washing her face was hard because Evelyn didn't want to actually wash her face so we had her dry her hand and then just wipe her hand over her face which looks just as good. The last shot we thought we could have in the bathroom scene was of the mother and daughter rising up from the sink and having a front shot of the mother s face.
