Relation between the narrative and the song

The main importance of the song is the fact the he is going home to be reunited with his loved one. Below is a interview in where the artist is being asked questions from his fans about the music video and the how it relates and why it relate with the lyrics.

CRWN w/ Elliott Wilson - Drake Takes Questions from Fan

(at 7 minutes Drakes starts to talk about Hold on we're going home)

We have used Prezzi to construct and present how we think our music video relates with the the lyrics.
The basic idea of our narrative came from the artist himself in a written interview where Drake the artist says that he thinks of the song as a song that can relate to a solider returning home or at a wedding.

Make up

We didn't really think about make up that much but it has come to our attention that we need to paint on the actresses face a camouflage piece on the cheek bones. For this we will need buy some face paint of, green, brown, black and a beige and then start to paint. This make up will only be used in the battle scene shots. Below are some image of the idea we want....

Any other make up that we could consider using would only for the reunion for the mother but only if she would want to wear it. For the wound of the battle we are going to use make up or paint on the clothing because she gets shot in the leg so no make up will be necessary on the face other than the camouflage paint.

Costumes -

Here are some other pictures of the costumes to be worn and what they will wear.

This would be the costume that they will be wearing on the training days and how they will have their hair.
This is the costume the "Couple" will be wearing during the montage scene at the park for the happy love scenes and the proposal.

The only costumes we will need would be for the father and daughter park scene and the daughter pjamas and of course they will be wearing when it comes to the reunion of the family at the end of the music video.

How the Media Failed Women in 2013

This is a video that a friend of mine posted on Facebook and it just shows how woman have been shown and represented in the media and how technology today has helped change the image of woman on magazines or how what they say has no importance just as long as they are pretty. I think that the presentation of woman has always been bad but that today society we don't notice it that much because it has become normal for society for men to have more power in politics, economy, relationships and most important the media. The media's message to the world is that male are superior to woman and by sending this message it is causing the young woman of our generation to believe this causing more illness physically and mentally.

The Media Constructing Identity

In many ways the media can be seen to construct or make collective identities. We are surrounded by the media and in the 21st century music has become what specifically young adults or young teens are what the media mainly target because they are in a still in a developing stage in their lives making them a easier target to influence. The mediated message that is being passed on is through many different types of media such as the radio, television, magazines and social sites such as Facebook, Twitter etc website which is found on the Internet the a different source of mediation because of the individual behind the account who has the choice.
Music has always had an impact on identity, but it’s the type of person that listens to the music that depends upon how an identity is constructed. For example in the music industry the genre of the music people listen to can help construct the identity in a stereotypical way. For instance young boys may be influenced in a bad way if they were to listen to only rap in where most songs are about either sex, money, drugs or crime. This does not necessarily mean that rap is always a bad influence but it can be dependent of the audience because it helps build character. Just like the music video magazines can affect both genders. Specifically looking at Cosmo magazine just by the cover of the magazine it can speak to many viewers and influence them-selves. For example a male can be influence to think that all woman are meant to look like the cover model.  Woman can still be influenced in the same way from this types of magazines but through the eyes of a female the message would be think that they need to look like the cover model in order to live a happy life. Keeping in mind all people have freedom of will in where they chosen not to be associated with the media and turn away from the "ideal woman should look like". Laura Mulvey argues that the mediated world have made all audience to look at any woman in the media from a male perspective. Meaning that even woman are watching a movie in where the genre is Romance

Diary Entry - Military Training

29th of November - Shot-over

We chosen to film the military training days on this day because it hadn't been raining for a while and because we had convince another friend of ours to film with us on training days. We headed of from school on Friday and arrived very tired and worn out by the steep hill on the way there. We hadn't planned it very well when it came to carrying up the equipment up the steep hill and so when we arrived we were breathless. Once we caught our breath we chose our location setting and the actresses Evelyn and Dawn got dress in their costumes. The shots we had planned to shoot were some of them running up the hill jumping over logs, running under things etc and anything else that it needed would then be thought of later.
So once we decided where we were going to shot our first shot we had the actors practise running up a steep hill one behind the other and we had to position the camera so that the we would film them running from behind and then once they reach the top of the hill have a shot of them passing the camera. Aalisha then thought she knew somewhere more adventurous within the location and so we started to follow her along the pathways in the forest. She didn't find it. After almost getting lost we decided to stay as close to the entrance of the forest as much as possible and found some great area in where we thought would look good if we had them jumping over a fallen branch and a running under a den. We chose to use a low angled shot for when the actress jumps over the logs and then a mid shot but through some leaves and thin branches for when our actress jumped over a high branch in another shot.
Because it was so cold and it would get dark at 15:30 we decided that that was enough and made our way out of the forest before it became dark.
